This brief outlines the findings and legal analysis concerning development-based forced evictions in Uzbekistan, drawn from over six years of investigative research by Land Home Justice Network . Focusing on the period 2017 to 2024, the research involved 40 interviews, trial monitoring (over 20 hearings) and gathering extensive documentary evidence relating to the compulsory acquisition of residential properties in Tashkent and Samarkand.
